Ini adalah kalimat langsung. Kita menirukan persis apa yang orang lain ucapkan. Dalam kalimat Direct Speech kita menggunakan quotation mark (").
Sedangkan Indirect Speech atau kalimat tidak langsung adalah kalimat yang tidak menirukan apa yang orang lain ucapkan.
Misalnya:
He said that he would come to my house
Dalam kalimat Indirect Speech kita tidak menggunakan quotation mark (").
